The method consists in objective measurement of the surface color of an object.
Spectrophotometer is a portable device and thus allows testing to be carried out in situ without taking samples.
It is a very precise, contactless and non-destructive method. When used during conservation, it enables the monitoring of the impact of treatment on the color of a given object.
