Partly funded by the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage, conservation works are being carried out on frescoes in the Chapel of St. Anna, part of the Church of the Annunciation. With dirt and later coatings being slowly removed, the treatment is revealing more and more of the charm of luminous compositions painted by Walenty Żebrowski, a Bernardine monk whose works can also be admired in Warta, Kalisz and Wschowa, among others. Apart from being treated, the paintings have also been tested non-destructively, using a portable XRF device.
